I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
There’s something about the wee hours of the morning that can’t be replicated any other time of the day. The soft light seeping over the horizon, the stillness and quiet that comes only with the rising of the sun, the promises of a new day… it’s all enough to make me contemplate turning into a morning person!
Ok, so that may not happen. But, when I do get up that early, I love it. Especially when I have my camera in hand and a couple willing to face the early morning light with me.
Micah and Heather were down from Michigan last week to visit and I’m SO GLAD it worked out to get an early maternity/couple’s session in while they were here (she was right at 20 weeks!). If you’ve been anywhere around the upstate of South Carolina this past month, you’ll know that the rain has… well… made itself known. Towards the end of July, most of the storms were coming in the afternoon so we thought we’d be safe with a sunrise session. And while it rained the night before and the ground was soaked, there was zero rain last Friday morning!
I hadn’t seen Heather since Mission Michigan two years ago when she and Micah were married. So I’m glad they were able to come down and we could have some quality time to hang out, watch Life of Pi, and make one of the most amazing zombie movies ever! Love you guys… can’t wait to meet your little one when he or she arrives later this year!
Y’all… you’re adorable :-)
Oh my heavens… morning light, I do love you!
Love.
We met at Century Park and since it was so early, had the entire place to ourselves!
Heather – I get why you wore that green shirt now. Your eyes are beautiful!
Love this one!
Y’all are going to be some really amazing parents….
Super sweet and cute session, Sabrina! And wow–gorgeous light. Too bad I’m never up early enough to experience this, LOL.
