I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
The sun was just beginning to rise when we arrived at her hotel and knocked on the door. Susie and her soon to be sister-in-law were putting final touches on her hair and makeup as we began to photograph her details. As the sun made more of an appearance and the time got closer to when she would see Luke, she could hardly contain the emotions.
She was so excited and nervous and ready for their First Look and it was incredibly sweet watching her fall into him before he even had a chance to turn around and see her!
We all went back up into the hotel room for their moms and Susie’s grandmother to give them a Polish blessing before everyone headed up the mountain for the ceremony. And while I couldn’t understand a word of what was being said, it was so beautiful. I’d never been a part of something like that before and I loved being able to freeze those moments in time for them.
The ceremony was at Pretty Place in the morning and after a catered lunch and plenty of time for portraits in downtown Greenville, the celebrations really began at the Commerce Club. If Susie and Luke and their family and friends know how to do anything, it’s DANCE! Oh my goodness, I’ve never seen a first dance like this and I’m so thankful that Ben was there as Fields Films to capture it for them on video. While I love the photos we were able to get, they just don’t do their first dance justice!
Enjoy sharing Susie and Luke’s wedding through these photos. With so much time for portraits with the two of them, it was really difficult to narrow them down!
(Many thanks to Anna Duncan for second shooting with me!)
Her brother assured her that Luke looked good because he himself had helped pick out Luke’s suit!
Love.
There’s a reason this is called Pretty Place.
Katelyn of Modfete created a gorgeous fall bouquet for Susie!
All.The.Colors!!
After lunch, we had over an hour with these two in downtown Greenville. Y’all, it was a dream to just wander with plenty of time to get so many photos of these two!! If you’re able to work in that much time for portraits on your wedding day, you will NOT regret it! You’ll also make your photographer super giddy :-)
While I was getting this shot…
Anna was getting this.
And for a few minutes, it felt like we were in Europe.
These two look good no matter what, but black & white look especially good on them!
How beautiful is this reception room?? I Do knocked it out of the park!
The couch from A Darling Day topped it off perfectly.
Oh their dance!!
And her dress twirled perfectly!
Thank you SO MUCH to all of the amazing vendors, friends, and family who made this day possible for Susie + Luke!
