The fun part about coming to a photography conference with your husband when you work as a team is that you get to hear all of these amazing speakers together.  You get to be inspired together.  And you get to find out what the other actually heard when you were sitting next to each other hearing the same talk!  Which usually turns into dreaming together.  And I love that.

I remember when we were dating, we were so careful about not talking too much about our future because… well, I wasn’t sure when he was going to propose and it was a way to protect my heart and my thoughts.  But once he asked me to be his wife, we began dreaming out loud together!  And it’s still one of my favorite things to do with Ben.  But this dreaming also includes goals and one of the things Ben pointed out that we needed to do more of is practice our craft.  So what better time to do that than here and now in one of the most beautiful places??

So, we wandered for a little bit a couple of days ago and took a few photos.  He’s working on how to give direction and how to pose people but he’s already come a long way ;-)  We’ve been taking our time a lot this last week (when we had free time, that is) and we may have been a tad slow to getting outside because the sun set before we’d been out there for too long!  But that’s ok.  Because any time spent with this man is wonderful.
