Yesterday was our 6th wedding anniversary.  SIX YEARS!!

People say it all the time, but the older I get, the truer it is… time needs to S L O W down!  It was already picking up speed when I was in high school, then college came and went way too quickly.  There were parts of the following decade that were slow when I didn’t want them to be, but once I met Ben and especially after we got married, time has increasingly sped up.

So really, where did the last 6 years go??  It’s been an amazing adventure full of all kinds of ups and downs and sudden left turns that were not expected.  But God has done more than I ever could have asked or imagined beginning with the man He had in mind for me to marry.

We are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination.  And while I could easily list off each of our own faults and how much we need to improve with every aspect of our lives, all I’m going to say is that I’m thankful neither of us is putting our hope in the other because we would be gravely disappointed each and every day.

God is the one responsible for us meeting, for the adventures we’ve had, for the mountains we’ve climbed and allowed the valleys we’ve fallen into.  But  He’s always there, He’s always steadfast, He’s always faithful, and He never gives up on us.

So here’s to another 60 years of laughing and adventuring and working and playing with my favorite person.  I love you, Ben :-*
