Johanna + Thad | A Windy Hill Wedding

It was the MOST perfect fall day for Johanna and Thad’s outdoor wedding.  The spot where they said “I Do” at Windy Hill was indeed a tad windy, but the colorful trees behind them made the extra breeze completely worth it!

The two of them were so laid back and they were just excited to start this new chapter together.  Friends and family were all smiles with a few happy tears scattered throughout the day.  During the ceremony, Thad had most of us in tears as he made promises to Johanna’s daughter… to love her as his own and respect her relationship she has with her mom.  Then Johanna made similar promises to Thad’s son.

It was such a God-honoring ceremony and my heart was FULL as I pulled away later that evening.

Johanna and Thad, thank you for trusting me to capture such a special and wonderful day!  I’m so thankful to know you both and I hope you enjoy reliving your first day as husband and wife through (many) of my favorite photos from your wedding!

What a beautiful backdrop to have as you become husband and wife!

After they were pronounced husband and wife, Drew and Laura Horton led everyone in song and it was so beautiful.

And then I walked a little ways to the side and saw this new family of 4 with their arms around each other while they worshiped and had to wipe tears from my eyes.

Ann Marie of A Little Something Bakery made THE most delicious cake and cupcakes.
After 12 years of photographing weddings, I’m somewhat of an expert on these things!

Also, I can’t get over this beverage cart.  The Booze Buggy is one of the cutest things I have EVER seen!

This was their guest “book”!

Each person was able to color themselves and sign their name!  What a fun keepsake!

And then Johanna and Thad had the most magical departure as their friends and family lit and launched dozens of lit lanterns!

Many many thanks to Johanna and Thad’s wonderful vendors!
