Kaitlin + Michael | A Twigs Tempietto Wedding

There was a flurry of activity when I walked into the suite where the girls were getting ready. Kaitlin was in the chair, makeup done and already looking beautiful! She was calm and collected and just excited that she was getting to marry Michael! The bridesmaids mentioned several times that they were prepared for the tears that day. No one was sure when it would happen, but they were ready. And as Kaitlin slipped into her dress and final touches were made before she and Michael had their first look, several of her friends were dabbing their eyes.

What I wasn’t expecting though was to tear up myself as Kaitlin and Michael shared their personal vows during their first look! It is such a privilege to be invited into such a personal space on someone’s wedding day to capture these unforgettable moments! And having this time alone together was a chance for them to connect and spend a few quiet moments, just the two of them, on a day that was full of amazing friends and family who were there to celebrate with them.

And celebrate they did! As Kaitlin and Michael were pronounced husband and wife and shared their first kiss, everyone was beaming and applauding as the two walked back up the aisle.
