Katie + Blake | A Biltmore Engagement Session

I adore all of my couples… really!  It’s true!  When a couple chooses to allow me into their love story, to follow them around with a camera in hand as we chat and laugh and they let me in on pieces of their relationship, I can’t help but feel connected to them.  And not only am I giddy as we wander and capture photos, but I get a rush of excitement all over again as I go through and find my favorites.  And I may be texting Katie as I type some of my favorites before I even post them!

Katie and Blake were matched online (like Ben and I were!) and within a couple of years, he was down on one knee asking Katie to be his wife at Epcot in Italy (where they’ll be honeymooning next spring!).  They are both so close to their families and I love how much importance they’re putting on that for their wedding day.  This will actually be the third wedding I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for Katie’s family… first her brother’s wedding and then her cousin’s wedding.  And this time SHE will be the gorgeous bride in the white dress with her handsome groom by her side!  Blake, can you please bring your cap to the wedding?  It’s so perfect for you and incredibly dapper.

Katie and Blake go up to Biltmore about 4 times a year and knew that the grounds of the property would be the perfect spot for their engagement photos.  I’m SO glad they were willing to ask if I’d be up for it because YES.  Always YES to a place that means something to my couples!  Plus, you’re about to see the magic we captured as we wandered and explored the amazingly beautiful property.

I’d never been in the greenhouses before and was absolutely smitten with every nook and cranny.

You guys should probably go ahead and move in.  It’s like you were made for this place.

Ollie boy, you are so adorable and the perfect dog model!
