Lara + Jacob | A Lutheridge Camp Engagement Session

Being asked to document any couple’s love story really is such a joy!  But when we’re able to go to where they first met and fell in love for their engagement session?  It’s so much fun!!  We wandered the camp where Lara and Jacob first met and fell for each other, hearing all kinds of stories of their days when they were on staff at Lutheridge together.  Lara is an art teacher and would work in the Craft Lodge… which is where their ceremony will actually take place this fall!

I think my favorite part of their story though is when her job one week was serving in the dining hall.  She requested to serve Jacob’s table and in the middle of the week it was “get to know your server day.”  So, Jacob took the opportunity and ran with it!  He asked her about all of her favorite things from music to food and when he asked her out on a “just the two of us” date, the whole adventure was comprised of her favorite things!

Promise me that you guys will keep laughing together like this your entire lives!

There were lots of camp rumors and traditions that I’m sure had been passed down for decades… one of them being if you walked together along a certain path, you were definitely dating.  This dyke was one of those spots and a location that actually means a lot to Lara and Jacob :-)

We may not be lounging in hammocks for their wedding this fall, but I can’t wait to be back here to
photograph these two as they become husband and wife this fall!
