Lara + Jacob | A Mountain Micro Wedding

For their engagement session back in early February, Lara and Jacob walked Ben and I around the camp where they had met many summers ago.  They showed us where Lara had spent most of her days with arts and crafts, which is where their ceremony would actually be, and where they’d walked and talked and gotten to know each other by the lake where their reception would be held.

If you’d told them that day in the North Carolina mountains that they would actually be getting married in his parents backyard instead of at camp, they probably would have laughed and insisted you were wrong.  But as all of us have adjusted and made changes as the year has progressed, these two did as well… and for them, it was a perfect fit to get married with their families while the mountains and sunset created the most stunning backdrop.  And next year, on the weekend of their one year anniversary, we’ll gather back at camp with ALL their family and friends to celebrate with the wedding they’ve been dreaming of.

Last weekend I pulled into Jacob’s parents driveway where they and their families had created a beautiful setting for Lara and Jacob to become husband and wife.  It was intimate and special and reflected the two of them perfectly.  Thank you both for trusting me with all of your moments during this crazy journey the world is on right now.  I’m so excited to be able to celebrate with you guys again next fall!

Many thanks to the amazingly talented family and vendors for making Lara and Jacob’s day unforgettable!
