Richard Edward | At-Home Newborn Session

It seems like ages and ages ago when Lindsay first emailed me about photographing their new baby boy after he arrived.  Lindsay and Richard were the matron of honor and best man at a wedding I photographed last year and it’s always SO fun to have sweet connections like that!

Baby Richard was such a doll his entire session and I couldn’t get over how tiny he was!  He was around 6lbs and was so much smaller than they were expecting that they had to purchase some premie clothes for him to wear because his newborn clothes were too big.

And wait until you see his “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” themed nursery.  It’s adorable and Lindsay did such an amazing job with it!  So excited to share this sweet new baby boy with you all today!

These last photos are SO special.  This Jeep belonged to Lindsay’s dad and when he passed away a year ago, he had insisted that the jeep stay in the family… he really loved it THAT much!  So when Lindsay told me that and then asked if they could take some photos of baby Richard with the Jeep it was an automatic yes.

(No babies were harmed in the making of these photos and has mama was
standing SO close in case he decided to start rolling over at 6 days old!)

I told them they had to at least keep the Jeep until baby Richard graduated high school so they could do his senior photos with it too.  That’s when Lindsay said that her dad’s will actually said the Jeep was to stay in the family :-)
So, those senior photos shouldn’t be a problem then!
