Admittedly, Sarah would quickly tell you that she was nervous. She was so excited to marry Frank (of course!) but walking down the long aisle inside Daniel Chapel can be intimidating. Her father grasped her hand to link her arm with his, smiled at her as she took a deep breath then as the doors opened, he guided her down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband.
Frank’s eyes teared up as he watched Sarah’s dad lead her down the aisle. She was so beautiful and he was so grateful to begin their life together.
The weather was perfect, everyone was all smiles, (a few tears were shed too) and even the rose garden was in full bloom! I’m not sure what else could have made this day more perfect.
You two, thank you for asking me to spend your day with you and to capture it as it unfolded. It was a joy to share it all with you and I hope these photos instantly take you back to each moment!
One more deep breath…
Sarah’s precious grandfather (affectionately known as Daddy Vince) passed away shortly before the wedding and he was greatly missed. He had said a prayer at every one of his grandchildren’s weddings and that same prayer was read by Sarah’s cousin, James. It was beautiful and heartwarming and brought tears to all of our eyes.
Sneaking out during your reception for a few minutes is always going to be worth it… not only does it give you some time to be alone together before the sun goes down, but it also gives us a chance to create some more portraits to help you remember the day!
