Siobhan + Anthony | Brooklyn, New York Engagement Session

They first met thanks to a mutual friend and even though they lived 2 hours apart, they met for Mexican one night halfway between.  Nothing about that first date was awkward.  And if you ever meet these two, you will feel like you’ve known them for ages within a few minutes.  They’re both so inviting and welcoming and love people the way God loves each of us; without question and unconditionally.

Siobhan was my intern for a little while a couple years ago before she moved up to NYC to be closer to Anthony.  And while I don’t blame her for wanting to be done with long distance, she is missed a TON down in South Carolina!  And so you can imagine how excited I was when I got the text that Anthony had proposed… at the end of a mud run no less!!

He pulled off quite the surprise.  Siobhan had an idea that they would get engaged sometime, she just didn’t know when or how.  So when she crossed the finish line, covered in mud from head to toe, and Anthony got down on one knee, she couldn’t believe it!  Even more so, she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw friends and family AT THE FINISH LINE with signs and banners congratulating them!

Ben and I combined their engagement session in NYC with an anniversary trip for us and I’m so thankful he could be there too!  We woke up super early to meet Siobhan and Anthony at the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise and while it may have been below 40 degrees, they handled it like pros.  But the cold temperatures also made snuggling that much better.

You guys, I am BEYOND excited for you and even more so to capture your day next summer!
It’s going to be an incredible day of celebrating and I can’t wait!!

You may think they’re smiling and laughing so much because of how hilarious I am,
but they really do just smile and laugh this much!

This photo below immediately became one of my new favorites.

How in the world do you two make a picnic table look so good?!?

A definite favorite from the second half of their session.  Seriously, you guys.
If you can laugh this much for the rest of your lives, you’re going to outlive all of us!

And last but not least, a few film scans from their session…

There are SOOO many favorites from their session, but I’ll put this one in my
“favorite from the rolls of film” category to keep things simple :-)

I mean, they look like they stepped out of a movie!!
